Frequently, buyers purchasing a new construction home work with a representative of the home builder instead of using their own Realtor. New home construction builders follow a different set of guidelines than Realtors. They typically require you to bring a Realtor with you for the first time you go to the model the home. If buyers do not know or follow these guidelines, they must work with the representative provided by the builders, who are not always licensed real estate agents, and support the builders' interests.
